- Variedad — ¿Usas suficientes palabras diferentes?
«A lot of» es demasiado informal; «a considerable number of» encaja mejor.
- Colocación — ¿Suenan naturales tus combinaciones de palabras? «Make a decision» es correcto; «do a decision» no lo es.
| Banda | Descripción del Recurso Léxico |
|---|---|
| 5 | Variedad limitada, errores notables, repetitivo |

Nowadays, many young people use social media a lot. This is bad because it makes them feel sad and they compare themselves to others. I think the government should do something about this problem. For example, they could make rules about social media. In conclusion, social media has good and bad sides but the bad sides are more.
Versión de Banda 7+
The proliferation of social media among young people has given rise to growing concerns about mental health. Research demonstrates that excessive social media use contributes to heightened anxiety and diminished self-esteem, primarily because users inevitably compare their lives to curated online personas. Consequently, there is a compelling case for government intervention. For instance, regulatory frameworks could mandate age-appropriate content guidelines and limit algorithmic targeting of minors. On balance, while social media offers undeniable benefits in terms of connectivity, its detrimental impact on youth well-being outweighs these advantages.
Qué cambió:
- «a lot» → «proliferation»
- «bad» → «detrimental»
- «makes them feel sad» → «contributes to heightened anxiety and diminished self-esteem»

3. Forzar palabras complejas de forma incorrecta. «The government should ameliorate the situation by doing education» es peor que «The government should improve access to education». La precisión supera a la complejidad.
4. Ignorar las colocaciones. «Make progress» es correcto; «do progress» no lo es. «A significant number» funciona; «a significant amount of people» no (usa «number» para sustantivos contables).
«However, X. Furthermore, Y. Moreover, Z.» Este patrón suena mecánico. Varía la posición: «X, however, remains contested.»

Preguntas frecuentes
