英語の副詞リスト:カテゴリー別によく使う語
小さな副詞一つで、文全体の意味は大きく変わります。She answered、She answered politely、She answered immediately、She answered surprisingly well を比べてみてください。行動は同じでも、伝わる情報はまったく異なります。
英語の副詞は、何かがどのように、いつ、どこで、どのくらいの頻度で、どの程度起こるかを示します。however、therefore、instead のように、文章の論理をつなぐ役割もあります。このガイドでは、無作為なリストではなく機能ごとに副詞を整理し、実際の文で選べるようにします。
副詞とは何か
副詞は、動詞、形容詞、別の副詞、または文全体を修飾します。

多くの副詞は -ly で終わりますが、すべてではありません。fast、hard、late、often、already、very も副詞です。一方、-ly で終わっても friendly、lively、lonely のように形容詞である語もあります。

様態の副詞:どのように起こるか
様態の副詞は How?(どのように)に答えます。通常は動詞の後、または目的語の後に置かれます。

頻度の副詞は通常、一般動詞の前、ただし be動詞の後 に置きます。

時間と場所の副詞
時間の副詞は出来事の順序を明確にし、場所の副詞は位置や方向を示します。どちらも節の終わりに置かれることが多いですが、時間表現は強調のため文頭にも置けます。

程度の副詞は、修飾する形容詞や副詞の前に置かれることが多いです。very だけを繰り返さないためにも役立ちます。

Good と well
Good は形容詞、well は副詞です。
